This must be an Antarctic Gladioli - brave soul! Middle of Winter water, water everywhere, Wind cuts like thousands of icy razorblades. Bundled up in Winter gear I take a deep breath, face the elements and struggle up the drive to collect the post. On the way back stop and gaze in awe at these two gallant bulbs normally Summer flowering braving it out in this disgusting weather. IT GAVE ME AN OPTIMISTIC ROSY GLOW [haven't seen Rosy for years]. I know how that must have felt Gerry! We recently had no power for 2 weeks; lots of buckets full of water from outside, luckily we have a tap at bottom of tank.
