GERRY LEAPER AN INDEPENDENT AUTHOR - Contact me at -  frogleap@clear.net.nz

Reading can be an expensive pastime, cost of production plus wholesale plus retail margins are making that pleasure into a luxury. Becoming my own publisher, and marketer gives the reader best value for money.

“The day I met Gordon Jackson it was mutual dislike at first sight.”

The dislike changes to murderous intent, as a web of deceit and corruption unfolds.

The Charity is a crime story with a difference - it is also the story of a man’s fight back following two years of tragedy and drama.

My other books are:

Joining Toastmasters kick-started my writing hobby, and my first novel, published by the late lamented Hazard Press, was motivated by an incident at a South Island Convention.

It is the revenge story of George Powers, a spoiled son of a wealthy Christchurch family, failing to win a major toastmaster competition told over a roller-coaster thirteen day period.

I have used two characters from this story in my current work-in-progress.

The last few copies of this book were begged from the Hazard Press Receiver, and I am selling them at a bargain price of $15.00 New Zealand

 AND:

a fact based story about the battle of Arnhem Oosterbeek - better known as “A Bridge too Far.”

I have childhood memories of the British First Airborne Division,  elements of which were stationed in the Lincolnshire village where my father was the blacksmith. They commandeered his petrol pumps and I spent many hours in the company of “Corporal Bert” and became something of a mascot. I devoted many hours researching this story, and many of the incidents are very much fact based.

Ten thousand men landed by parachute and glider, less than two thousand returned.

Published by Trafford.

I know how that must have felt Gerry! We recently had no power for 2 weeks; lots of buckets full of water from outside, luckily we have a tap at bottom of tank.
